Fullmetal Alchemist – Manga Cover

Fullmetal Alchemist “Alchemist of Steel” is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa. It was serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Shōnen Gangan magazine between July 2001 and June 2010. The manga has sold over 70 million volumes worldwide, making it one of the best-selling manga series.

Dragon Ball Z – Manga Cover

Dragon Ball Z, is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation. It is the sequel to Dragon Ball and adapts the latter 325 chapters of the original 519-chapter Dragon Ball series created by Akira Toriyama which ran in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1988 to 1995. Due to the success of the anime, the manga chapters making up its story were released by Viz Media under the Dragon Ball Z title.

Ral Ω Grad – Manga Cover

Ral Ω Grad is a Japanese manga series written by Tsuneo Takano and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The series ran in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from December 2006 to July 2007. The 29 chapters have been collected into four tankōbon volumes, which were published by Shueisha from April to November 2007. Viz Media released an English-language translation in North America under the title Ral Grad beginning in February 2008.

Tokyo Ghoul – Manga Cover

Tokyo Ghoul is a Japanese dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Sui Ishida. It was serialized in Shueisha’s seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump between September 2011 and September 2014, and it has been collected in fourteen tankōbon volumes as of August 2014.

Dragon Ball – Manga Cover

Dragon Ball is a Japanese media franchise created by Akira Toriyama in 1984. The initial manga, written and illustrated by Toriyama, was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1984 to 1995, with the 519 individual chapters collected into 42 tankōbon volumes by its publisher Shueisha.

Elemental Gelade – Manga Cover

Written and illustrated by Mayumi Azuma, the Elemental Gelade manga was first serialized in Mag Garden magazine Monthly Comic Blade from February, 2002 to December, 2009. The individual chapters were collected and published into 18 tankōbon volumes by Mag Garden between 2002 and 2010. In 2003, A.D. Vision announced that they acquired the manga’s right to North America. However, twelve volumes were released from 2006 to 2010 by Tokyopop.

The success of the Fairy Tail manga led to an anime adaptation, movies, and video games. While the Fairy Tail manga concluded in 2017, a sequel series called Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest is still in publication, with a story that is being written by original series creator Hiro Mashima.

Ranma ½ – Manga Cover

Ranma ½ pronounced (Ranma One-Half) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. It was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from August 1987 to March 1996, with the chapters collected into 38 tankōbon volumes by Shogakukan.

Bloody Kiss – Manga Cover

Bloody Kiss is a Japanese shōjo manga written and illustrated by Kazuko Furumiya. The series was serialized in Hakusensha’s semi-monthly shōjo manga magazine, Hana to Yume from May 2004 to March 2005. The chapters were then compiled and two volumes were released. It is licensed in English for North American distribution by Tokyopop.
